Friday, May 13: Manifest Urban Arts Festival; Address: Wabash Arts Corridor, 623 S. Wabash, Chicago; Price: Free; Hours: 12-9 p.m.; Reason to go: Columbia College Chicago’s annual Manifest Urban Arts Festival presents 100+ free public programs and showcases senior students work. This year the event will include live bands and DJs all day, fashion shows, presentations and more.

Friday, May 13: Wabash Arts Corridor Big Walls; Address: Multiple locations; Price: Free; Hours: open; Reason to go: Columbia College Chicago launches the city’s largest street art festival, transforming the Wabash Arts Corridor in Chicago’s South Loop into blocks of public art. Eighteen local and international artists have installed more than 40,000 square feet of large-scale building murals.

Sunday, May 15: 2016 Vintage Garage Chicago; Address: 5051 N Broadway, Chicago; Price: $5; Hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Reason to go: The empty Uptown parking garage has transformed into Chicago’s all vintage monthly market. The 2016 Vintage Garage is held on the third Sunday of each month through October, with a theme for each month. May’s theme is Midcentury and the market will feature dealers’ best Midcentury vintage pieces.
