Three Chicago men and seven juveniles were charged with stealing iPads and laptops from an elementary school last week, police said.

Jabare McChristian, 19, Devin Pearson, 17, were charged with felony burglary charges. Eugene McQueen, 25, and the juveniles also face charges in connection with the thefts.

Although the police report did not name the school, CPS confirmed the school was Drake Elementary in the 2700 block of South Dearborn Street that was targeted.

Police say $94,000 worth of equipment was stolen, including 300 laptops, seven MacBook Pros, iPads and other devices.

Some of the equipment was recovered using tracking technology in the devices and surveillance footage, according to CPS officials.

The juveniles, aged 13-16, face a mixture of felony and misdemeanor theft and burglary charges.
