Arrests Made After Electronics Stolen From School

    District officials weren't disclosing Monday information as to how many devices were stolen or the cost to replace them. Regina Waldroup reports.

    Three Chicago men and seven juveniles were charged with stealing iPads and laptops from an elementary school last week, police said.

    Jabare McChristian, 19, Devin Pearson, 17, were charged with felony burglary charges. Eugene McQueen, 25, and the juveniles also face charges in connection with the thefts.

    Although the police report did not name the school, CPS confirmed the school was Drake Elementary in the 2700 block of South Dearborn Street that was targeted.

    Police say $94,000 worth of equipment was stolen, including 300 laptops, seven MacBook Pros, iPads and other devices.
