    Furnishings from the Pump Room and Ambassador East Hotel go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

    Items for sale by Hotel Content Liquidators and SPR Partners include oil paintings, china, glassware, a complete bar and the aforementioned piano from the restaurant, which was frequented by old-school socialites like Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Humphrey Bogart.

    The contents of 284 guest rooms also are up for grabs.

    The sale, which will take place the Pump Room at 1301 N. State Pkwy. will continue for 12 days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays) or until sold out. Admission to the sale is $5.
