Exotic Birds Nabbed from Pet Store

Two exotic birds were reportedly stolen from a Batavia pet store Wednesday afternoon.
The Sun Conure parrots are valued at $1,400 and were taken from a Petland store between noon and 5:30 p.m., police said.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, a Petland employee said “It wasn’t a particularly busy day but we did have a lot going on, the conure parrots are gorgeous birds but they can be very talkative, so I don’t know how they got away with it.”
Back in August, there were a string of exotic bird thefts in surrounding Chicago Suburbs.
