The National Weather Service says that a tornado briefly touched down in Ogle County on Thursday afternoon, but did not cause any injuries or damage.

Trained weather spotters reported funnel clouds over parts of DuPage and Cook counties on Wednesday afternoon, part of a flare-up of severe weather that sparked tornado warnings in several other communities.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Ogle County on Saturday night, traveling seven miles before lifting from the ground.
