A Look Back at the First-Ever Chicago Marathon

It's a tradition, an event that unites Chicago. The first Chicago Marathon was held in 1977 and called "The Mayor Daley Marathon." NBC 5's Carol Marin takes us back in time.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo wore his uniform to Washington D.C. for the team’s game against the Nationals Thursday, but on the flight home, he was joined in that wardrobe choice by one of his teammates.

The Cubs, who beat the Nationals 4-3, had to travel to Washington for a one-game make-up date after rain washed out a contest earlier this week. On the way back to Chicago, Rizzo did indeed wear his uniform, but teammate Javier Baez did too:

Baez hit a home run and drove in three RBI in the game, but it’s unclear at this point whether the uniform trend will continue when the Cubs embark on their next flight to Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.
