A Saturday night celebration turned deadly when two men on the upper level of a double-decker bus hit their heads on an overpass and were killed.

It happened just after 2 a.m. under the I-57 overpass on Route 16 in Mattoon, IL.

Justin Sleezer, 22, of Yorkville and Cameron Chana, 22, of Clarendon Hills both died at local hospitals after suffering from traumatic head injuries.

Police say both men stood up on the bus just prior to passing under the overpass and struck their heads as the bus passed under.

The men were reportedly coming back from an Eastern Illinois University fraternity social outing at an area lake.

The incident is under investigation by local police and the coroner's office.
