Many Chicagoans were stunned to hear that tickets to a potential Olympic opening ceremony in Chicago would cost upwards of $1,200.
Those same Chicagoans should be pleased to hear more than half of the tickets to other events will go for $50 or less.
Some events, such as sailing and rowing and the triathlon and marathon, will be free of charge.
Furthermore, the Chicago 2016 spokesman Patrick Sandusky says that at least half a million of the proposed 7.6 million tickets available for the Games will be donated to schoolchildren and families around the city.
