Nose Mutilated in Rogers Park
2000 block of West Greenleaf Avenue
A person's nose was partially cut off Wednesday night in Rogers Park when the person was struck in the face with a bottle. The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and the incident was classified as a battery.

S.W.A.T. Standoff
1000 block of Warrington Rd., Deerfield
STNGwire: After a five-hour S.W.A.T. standoff, police arrested a 35-year-old man at his home who allegedly told his parents “I’m going to shoot you," though he apparently didn't have a gun. The man surrendered after police broke a house window, threw in a telephone, and convinced him to come out. Charges are pending.

Ice Cream Vendor Touched Himself: Teens
111 W. Butterfield Rd., Elmhurst
STNGwire: Police charged a 66-year-old ice cream truck driver with disorderly conduct for allegedly touching himself while handing out ice cream to 14-year-olds. The man allegedly asked the teens to kiss before handing them the ice cream.
