Snow Days Continue: Timeline of What to Expect With Another Round Set for Tuesday

With some locations already seeing accumulations of up 6 inches, it appears more snow is on the way.

Snow will begin moving into the Chicago area late Tuesday evening. This radar image shows 10 p.m. predictions.
By 11 p.m., the snow will be in most southern and southwestern suburbs.
The snow will continue to move across the Chicago area, covering much of the metro area by 2 a.m. and overnight hours.
By 6 a.m., snow will likely continue for most locations but will begin moving out to the east.
By 9 a.m., snow will be out of the area, leaving behind anywhere from 1 to 3 inches.
More snow is possible Thursday afternoon and Friday evening and again next weekend, capping off what could be an entire week of snowfall.
The first day without snow chances appears to be next Monday.
