    A number of phones were believed to have been stolen from a retail store at Chicago's John Hancock Center early Thursday morning.

    Police said they received a call about an alarm sounding at the building, on the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue, just before 4:30 a.m.

    When police arrived, they found a pane of glass broken at the Best Buy store. An "unknown" number of phones were believed to have been stolen, a police department spokesperson told NBC Chicago.

    The case was under investigation as of midday Thursday and no arrests were reported.
