Another day, another shooting in Schaumburg.

Just a few days after a trio of teens was shot in a drive-by shooting in the suburb, a pair of 20-somethings has been shot.

"This is very shocking for Schaumburg to have two incidents in such close proximity in both time and location," said Sgt. John Nebl.

A 29-year-old Rockford man is in critical condition at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge after he was shot multiple times in an early morning incident at an extended stay hotel in Schaumburg. And another man, a 26-year-old from Minnesota, is also recovering from the shooting, but his injuries aren’t as bad.

Both men were hurt in a shooting in a third floor room at Homestead Studio Suites at 51 E. Parkway.  Witnesses heard shots at around 1:20 a.m.

Early reports say there were multiple people inside the room when shots were fired.

Police said the alleged shooter is in custody.
