Local Olympians and Their Medals

Gold medalist Claressa Shields of Flint Michigan was announced as the first woman boxer at 165 pounds and the youngest fighter on the 2012 team. Shields beat out Russian boxer Nadezda Torlopova in the final match to take home her gold medal.
