Rutherford Accuser Plans to Re-File Harassment Lawsuit

Attorney to re-file by June 12

The sex harassment lawsuit filed against State Treasurer Dan Rutherford has been thrown out, but the attorney representing the accuser has until June 12 to re-file the case.

The attorney representing Rutherford’s former employee Ed Michalowski told NBC 5 she will re-file next week and add more counts.

Rutherford had suggested the suit was politically motivated, but on Wednesday a spokesman for the treasurer said he has no comment.

Rutherford was a Republican candidate for Illinois governor.
