WNBA Star Candace Parker's Grandmother Located in Chicago Suburb

The grandmother of WNBA star Candace Parker has been located after she was reported missing in a Chicago suburb, authorities confirmed Tuesday evening.

Joan Potter, 82, was found at an Applebee's in Joliet, according to police. At approximately 8 p.m., the Joliet Police Department received a call from the Applebee's restaurant about a confused woman, according to a release from the Huntley Police Department.

Huntley Police and Potter's family were contacted, and officials said she was "confused but otherwise healthy and safe."

She was last spoken to around 11:15 a.m. on the Fourth of July, police said. Family members said the 82-year-old did not arrive at her expected destination and when they went to her home in Huntley, both she and her vehicle were missing.

Parker posted on Twitter around 8:45 p.m., "So happy and relieved to confirm Grandma has been found! My family really appreciates all the help in bringing her home safely! THANK YOU"
