Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer suffered a well-publicized injury earlier this postseason when he sliced open his pinkie finger while playing with a drone, and some Chicago Cubs fans are having some fun at the pitcher’s expense.
Bauer, who is slated to start in Game 2 of the World Series against the Cubs on Wednesday night, was forced to leave his last postseason start when his finger started bleeding profusely, but he is expected to be all systems go on Wednesday.
Even with his health seeming like less of a question mark, some Cubs fans sent Bauer a gift before Game 2 of the series, and he tweeted a picture of it:
To those who can’t see the picture, the pitcher received a new drone from a Cubs fan, and they even enclosed a note that read:
“Hi Trevor, Go Cubs Go! From Jason Mollett.”
Well, at least the drone enthusiast will have a new toy to add to his collection, but we would be surprised if he wanted to play with it before he faces the Cubs on Wednesday night.
