Judge Gags Drew Peterson

New judge is third in as many weeks

Will we finally stop hearing random, crude comments from Drew Peterson in jail?

It seems likely.  Will County Circuit Court Judge Stephen White ruled Wednesday that Drew has to provide a list of friends' and family members' phone numbers -- and if he wants to call anyone not on the list, he has to ask first.

The ruling came after Drew called WLS Radio's "Mancow & Cassidy" and told them, "I got a lot of buddies here that are real anxious to, you know, wash my back in the shower."

White is the third juge to preside over Peterson's case.  The judge was assigned Monday to the former Bolingbrook police sergeant's trial in the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

The defense had asked that Judge Carla Alessio-Policandriotes be replaced after she refused a request to reduce Peterson's $20 million bond.

She replaced Judge Richard Schoenstedt two weeks ago, after prosecutors alleged bias. He dismissed felony gun charges against Peterson last year.

Peterson has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges.
