Suburban police recovered a body from Lake Michigan early Thursday morning, according to authorities.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a harbor in the 0-100 block of East Madison Street in Waukegan just after 8:30 a.m. Waukegan police told deputies that a human body had been located near a pier, and they were able to recover the body from the water.
The unidentified man’s body was taken to the Lake County Coroner’s Office for further investigation.
The circumstances of the man’s death, and his identity, have not yet been released by investigators.
