Three people were seriously injured in a Rogers Park neighborhood shooting Thursday night on the North Side.

The man and two women were in a vehicle at a stop sign in the 1500 block of West Morse when shots were fired about 10:15 p.m., according to Chicago Police. All three were struck in the back.

They tried to drive to Presence Saint Francis Hospital when the car hit a nurse who was riding a bike in Evanston’s 400 block of Austin Street, police said.

Karen Thomas had just finished her shift when she was hit, causing a compound fracture in her leg, officials said. She is expected to make a full recovery.

The 26-year-old man and women, ages 22 and 30, were listed in serious condition, police said. Hospital information for the pedestrian wasn’t immediately available.
