Chicago police fatally shot a person in the city's Englewood neighborhood late Sunday morning, according to officials.
At approximately 10:55 a.m. in the 6500 block of South Harvard, police said officers responded to a domestic disturbance, encountering a 28-year old man with a knife.
Police shot the man, who was later pronounced dead, according to officials.
The officer involved will be placed on administrative duties for 30 days, police said.

Area One detectives and the Civilian Office of Police Accountability are investigating the incident.
