Feeling Presidential?

Illinois debutes temporary Obama tags

Want to feel like you're part of a presidential motorcade?

The state of Illinois is cashing in on its current favorite son with new President Barack Obama license plates, the latest in a long list of Obama-related memorabilia.

The set of temporary license plates featuring Obama's picture and a waving American flag are legal starting Tuesday.

They're good until April 17, cost $50 and sport the slogan, "Illinois Salutes President Barack Obama."

The money collected from the plates will go to the Illinois Library Association and a children's summer reading program called iRead.

Motorists can pick up the plates at this weekend's Chicago Auto Show or online at ila.org/obama.
