FBI Wants #@*!ing Bank Robber

Robbing a bank is bad enough, but do you have to have a potty mouth while you do it?

That's what the FBI wants to know. They're searching for a thief they've dubbed the "foul-mouth bandit."

The man is responsible for at least three robberies in the area, the FBI said in a release.

The most recent robbery happened Feb. 3 at the Charter One bank at 3300 W. Dempster in Skokie. The thief handed a teller a note, then a plastic shopping bag, demanding cash with "expletive-laced instructions," according to the FBI.

The man hit another bank that same day -- a Fifth Third Bank at 7574 N. Western Ave. in Chicago, the FBI said. He also robbed a Chase Bank at 4200 Dempster in Skokie on Oct. 18, 2008 -- and swore like a sailor during each of the robberies.

The robber with the potty mouth is a black man, 30 to 35 years old and anywhere from 5 feet 10 to 6 feet 2 inches tall. He weighs 180 to 190 pounds and has a thin, well-groomed goatee.

The thief had a gun during the robberies and should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information about the man should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
