The Chicago Blackhawks are fighting to get out of last place in the Central Division, but it looks like they’ll continue to do so without Corey Crawford for a while longer.
After the team’s morning skate on Friday, head coach Joel Quenneville said that the goaltender will remain out indefinitely, and that he can’t say the netminder is any closer to returning to the ice.
“No news on that one,” Quenneville said.

Crawford has missed the team’s last four games after being placed on injured reserve with an upper body injury, and it appears he’ll miss several more at the very least. The Blackhawks are getting ready to play four games in the next six days, and they have 10 more games before the All-Star break at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, Jeff Glass is expected to get his fourth straight start in net for the Blackhawks Friday as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights. Glass has 2-0-1 record in his three starts with the team, and allowed two goals against the New York Rangers in a 5-2 win on Wednesday night.
Quenneville also indicated that center Artem Anisimov, who has been on the shelf with an upper body injury of his own, could be closer to returning to the ice than Crawford. Anisimov is still on injured reserve, and a return date has not been set for the center.
