Chicago Woman, Daughters Found Safe in Arizona

Maria Miranda and her daughters were last seen May 1, police said

A 41-year-old suicidal Southwest Side woman and her two daughters -- ages 1 and 19 -- have been found safe in Arizona.

Maria Miranda and her daughters -- Victoria Ortega, 19, and 1-year-old Mariana Gomez -- were last seen on May 1, according to an alert from Area Central Special Victims Unit detectives.

Miranda has threatened to kill herself and her missing daughters, police said.

Her family on Monday said the three are fine and will return to Chicago later this week.

The three live in the 2800 block of West 38th Street.
