In Chicago, it’s all about living for today.
And today starts Sept. 6.
“Chicago Today,” a new lifestyle and entertainment show “featuring top places to eat, play and relax” is set to launch on WMAQ-TV next month.
The 30-minute show highlighting “new places to see and be seen,” entertainment news, parenting tips and new technologies and tools that “can make everyday lives easier,” is set to air at 11:30 a.m.
“The show will also embrace newsmakers, personalities and people that are making a difference in local communities,” according to a release.
The program, which can be watched across WMAQ’s on-air, digital and mobile platforms, will be hosted by Emmy-nominated anchor Cortney Hall and former POPSUGAR host and producer Matthew Rodrigues.
“Chicago is synonymous with amazing attractions like our beautiful parks and skyline, world-class museums, great sports teams, and an incredible gastronomic culture,” David Doebler, president and general manager of NBC 5 Chicago, said in a statement. “‘Chicago Today’ will dive deeper into all of this and what makes Chicago and its suburbs a world-wide destination for many around the world.”
