An 18-year-old faces burglary charges after allegedly stealing Christmas gifts and other items from Chicago homes.
A Chicago police statement says that Alston Rodriguez, of Evanston, was due in a Cook County bond court on Christmas Day. Police say he was arrested early Christmas Eve as he tried to enter one home through a window.
Police say they recovered several stolen goods, including Christmas presents.
He faces two counts of burglary and two of attempted burglary.
There wasn't a public telephone listing for Rodriguez. And the police statement didn't include a name of a defense lawyer.
