Four individuals were injured after a crash involving a Metra train and a vehicle Tuesday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.
Authorities said the accident occurred on the Metra Electric South Chicago Line located between 71st Street and Merrill Avenue.
Chicago Fire Department officials confirmed that three adults and one child were transported to a nearby hospital.
In the aftermath, NBC 5 witnessed red vehicle destroyed next to the train.
No other information was immediately known.
