Two Chicago police officers were injured after their squad car crashed into another vehicle, authorities said Sunday night.
The officers were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening head and neck injuries, according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel visited the officers in the hospital, Guglielmi said in a tweet.
According to police, the officers were assisting other officers when the crash took place.
