Two teenagers were in critical condition after they were shot Saturday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.
The boy and girl, both 14-years-old, were shot in the 7700 block of South Carpenter Street about 6:33 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala, citing preliminary information.
The boy was shot in the left leg and buttock, Zala said, and the girl was shot in the right leg.
Paramedics took the duo to Comer Children’s Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.
