Abbey Pub Pays Homage to Grunge

Remember back when it seemed the center of the music universe was centered on Seattle?

Well, Kurt Cobain is no longer with us, and the grunge sound that defined that era has definitely fallen by the wayside, but that doesn't mean you can't still bask in the nostalgia.

Start by checking out the Abbey Pub (3420 W. Grace) on Friday for Seattle Grunge Night.

Several bands will pay homage to those alternative rockers, including Nevermind (Nirvana tribute band), Given2Fly (Pearl Jam) and Angry Chair (Alice in Chains).

The doors open at 8 p.m. and the show kicks off at 9 p.m. for the 18 and over show. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
