It'll almost be like being there ... sort of.
Chicago's Adler Planetarium plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11's lunar landing today.
Special events planned Monday include a chance for visitors to touch a real moon rock and eat free cake at 3:17 p.m., the exact time Apollo 11 landed on the moon. The planetarium plans to stay open late for a free telescope viewing, weather permitting.
Visitors also can put their shoeprints in clay for a take-home memento of the astronaut footprints on the moon.
