Be sure to get there on time Saturday to catch actor Vince Vaughn, who will perform a tandem jump with the Golden Knights, and is expected to land on North Avenue Beach at around 11 a.m.
The air and water showcases are combined this year for the first time, providing a continuous show from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
City officials are urging people to avoid the expected gridlock near the lakefront by taking public transportation or parking at either Millennium Park or East Monroe Garages where a free shuttle will be provided to and from North Avenue Beach.
Cooling buses will be provided at Oak Street, North Avenue, Fullerton and Diversey underpasses to help combat the expected sweltering heat.
