The media and various VIPs used to attend a Taste of Chicago preview tent in Grant Park before the big annual festival to get a glimpse, er, taste, of the featured food at the Taste. Now that preview is open for the public.
On Wednesday, June 10, swing by Daley Center Plaza between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission to the taste preview is free; food tastes can be purchased with cash (it must be purchased with tickets at the main event June 26-July 5 in Grant Park). Some of the vendors at the preview include Garrett Popcorn Shops, Arya Bhavan, Blue Bayou, Lagniappe-Creole Cajun Joynt and Sabor Latino. Enjoy a performance by The Eli Story, which appears at Taste of Chicago on June 26 at the Illinois Lottery Taste Stage.
