Was it our imagination, or was it seriously SLEETING the other day? While we've been pretty spoiled by some serious ''hello, global warming'' weather in the past few weeks, it ultimately just makes the transition into winter that much harder. La Madia's monthly Chef's Table Experiences are just the thing to make us feel all warm and cozy inside, even when it's a blustery world both literally and figuratively. The first Wednesday of every month, guests are seated at the pizza bar with a view of the chef's work area and wood-burning oven. Watch as the pizza and other menu items are born to be devoured within minutes.
This December, enjoy a holiday twist with the winter truffle pizza, Barbera d'Asti braised short ribs, Diver sea scallops with fingerling potatoes and spinach, pomegranate sauce and a holiday special crostata of cranberry and butter roasted chestnuts. Each course is paired with wine or another libation. $55 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations are required; seating is very limited.
