Bespoke Cuisine, a boutique catering and culinary services company, hosts interactive cooking parties in its spacious West Loop facility. For November's events, Bespoke is taking two timely topics -- tailgating treats and holiday appetizers -- and teaching guests how to have fun while cooking them up.
On Sunday, Nov. 16 at 11:30AM, join Bespoke for "Braising With Da Bears," a -- you guessed it -- braising class. Watch the Bears take on the Packers on a flatscreen TV while preparing a buffet feast. You'll make spicy sriracha-glazed chicken wings and sausage-stuffed mushrooms for appetizers, a harvest salad with candied pecans and maple-balsamic dressing, hard cider-braised chicken thighs and porter ale-braised short ribs for entrees, and baked macaroni-and-cheese and celery root and sweet potatoes for sides. It wouldn't be dinner without dessert, which consists of an autumn apple crisp with vanilla bean ice cream.
Then, if you can still move, return to Bespoke on Monday, Nov. 17 at 6:30PM to 9:30PM for a holiday appetizer cooking party. You'll cook up everything from almond-filled, bacon-wrapped dates with a roasted red pepper sauce and beef tenderloin and fig chutney crostinis topped with a blue cheese drizzle to individual pumpkin bread puddings with freshly made cinnamon whipped cream.
Bespoke's cooking parties are $80 per person. Soft drinks are provided, and the parties are BYOB. Call 312-455-8400 to reserve your spot.
