The Trevor Project launched a chatbot, Riley, who is designed to train counselors to speak with LGBTQ youth who are struggling with issues like coming out, or trouble at school. “AI is very powerful and is not often used to benefit marginalized communities who need the most help,” says Wilson Lee, The Trevor Project’s machine learning engineering manager.
