A computer programmer in Finland has taken the term "USB thumb drive" a little too literally.
Jerry Jalava lost part of his finger in a motorcycle crash last year. When he told doctors what he did for a living, they suggested he could stick a USB drive in his prosthetic finger. They were joking, but he did it anyway.
Jalava now has the world's first 2 gigabyte finger, as the Telegraph pointed out in its story about the oddity.
The finger is removable, so he can still use his hand while his ring finger is dangling from his desktop.
