Bulls teammates react to LaVine earning first All-Star nod originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
Zach LaVine is officially an NBA All-Star. On the back of a career season across the board, the Bulls guard earned reserve honors in the East by way of the coach vote.
In response, LaVine's Bulls teammates took to social media to congratulate him:
For part of LaVine's rookie year with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he and Young were teammates. Young still occasionally refers to that season, in which LaVine was 'his rookie,' when reflecting on LaVine's growth.

Jamal Crawford, another electric scoring guard in Bulls history, chimed in as well:
“Zach has been unbelievable for us this year,” said Bulls coach Billy Donovan in a team-released statement. “He’s played like an All-Star all season, and he has really taken his play to another level. I know how hard he works and what this recognition means to him. I am very happy for him and want to congratulate him on this very well-deserved honor.”
The 2021 All-Star game is scheduled to take place on March 7 in Atlanta, Ga. For the first time in seven NBA seasons, LaVine has earned his ticket.
