Baseball may be entering the dog days of summer, but the Chicago White Sox have found a unique way to make a day at the ballpark even more fun.
On Friday, the team announed that they would be selling $1 hot dogs for the remainder of the season at Wednesday home games. The promotion, which will impact five home games for the rest of the year, including battles agaisnt the Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros.
“The White sox ballpark experience is known for an array of delicious food, but there is something special about the baseball tradition of having a hot dog and cheering on the White Sox,” White Sox VP of Sales and Marketing Brooks Boyer said in a statement.
For fans looking to combine a fun promotion with the value of a $1 hot dog, there are two games worth circling on the calendar. The White Sox will celebrate Blackhawks Day on Aug. 23, and the annual Dog Day promotion will take place on Sept. 6.
