Kevin Smith, Warner Bros. and Other SDCC Day 3 Highlights

Now on its third day, the 2018 San Diego Comic Con is officially in full swing. Here are just a few of Saturday’s highlights:

“Warner Bros Theatrical”: The audience will get a first look at the studio's highly anticipated future releases. Films and panelists to be announced. (10:30 a.m. Hall H)

“The 19th Annual Animation Show of Shows”: Producer and curator Ron Diamond presents a show featuring animated shorts from around the world.  After the show, Diamond will answer audience questions. (1 p.m. Hall H)

“Explore the Wonders of the Universe with Cosmos: Possible Worlds”: As "Cosmos" returns to Fox and National Geographic next spring, host Neil deGrasse Tyson, writer and director Ann Druyan and producers Seth MacFarlane, Brannon Braga and Jason Clark lead a panel that includes a sneak peek of the new season and a discussion on cosmic evolution. (3 p.m. Indigo Ballroom)

“EW: Women Who Kick Ass”: Entertainment Weekly’s Jessica Shaw moderates a discussion between Jodie Whittaker ("Doctor Who"), Chloe Bennet ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), Regina King ("Watchmen"), Camila Mendes ("Riverdale") and Amandla Stenberg ("The Darkest Mind") on their experiences as leading actresses. (4 p.m. Hall H)

“Wonder Woman in the 1940s”: "Wonder Woman" ghostwriter Joye Murchison Kelly makes her first ever appearance at a comic convention panel. Nearly 75 years ago, William Marston, Wonder Woman's creator, hired Kelly as his assistant. She went on to write many of the comic’s classic stories in the 1940s—all without any credit. Kelly, now 94, will be honored as this year’s recipient of the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comic Book Writing. Historians Trina Robbins and Mark Evanier will interview Kelly on her experiences helping shape the mythology of the Amazon Princess. (4:30 p.m. Room 5AB)

“An Evening with Kevin Smith”: After suffering a heart attack in February, the "Clerks" creator is back to talk about directing TV series "Supergirl" and "Flash," his new show "Hollyweed" and the forthcoming sequel, "Jay & Silent Bob Reboot!" (6:45 p.m. Hall H)
