Woman Stabbed During Attempted Sexual Assault: Chicago Police

A woman was stabbed during an attempted sexual assault on Chicago's Southwest Side Tuesday night, according to police.

Authorities said the attack took place in the 3000 block of West 36th Place in the city’s Brighton Park neighborhood just before 7 p.m. [[467892703, C]]

The 24-year-old woman was walking down the alley when someone approached her from behind and tried to sexually abuse her, according to police, before stabbing her in the lower back and upper thigh.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center where she was listed in good condition, officials said.

No one is in custody as authorities continue to investigate.
