The Chicago Blackhawks made it official on Friday, as they sent down Tanner Kero and recalled winger Vincent Hinostroza from Rockford.
Kero, who was placed on waivers by the Blackhawks on Thursday, went unclaimed on the wire and was sent to the IceHogs after he cleared on Friday morning.
As for Hinostroza, he will be looking to potentially crack a Blackhawks lineup that has lost five straight games. With nine goals and 13 assists this season, Hinostroza has seemingly found his offensive touch at the AHL level, and he will look to bring that goal scoring acumen and his noteworthy speed to the United center for the Blackhawks this weekend.
Hinostroza was not in the team’s four forward lines during their morning skate Friday, but it’s still possible that he could be inserted into the mix before their game against the Buffalo Sabres at the United Center.
