So much for Illinois pride.
According to a new Gallup poll, 50 percent of Illinois residents would leave the state if they could.
Illinois has the highest percentage of people in the country who stated they want to leave, followed by Connecticut and Maryland.
The survey also polled residents who actually plan to move in the next 12 months, and the top reasons include work/business, weather and quality of life.
The poll surveyed 600 residents over the age of 18.
The states with the lowest percentage of people who want to leave are Montana, Hawaii and Maine.
