The same man may be behind three abduction attempts on the city's Northwest Side since April, police said in a community alert issued Thursday.
The most recent attempt happened at about 8:15 Wednesday on the 2200 block of North Lawndale Avenue. Female students walking to school said the driver of a silver or gray automobile asked them to come toward his car.
Previous attempts occurred on April 22 on the 2200 block of West Avers and April 24 on the 3700 block of West Lyndale.
The suspect is described in the alert as possibly a light-skinned African American, white or white Hispanic man in his 20s with dark hair and possibly a goatee.
Parents are reminded to escort young children to and from school if they can, and to teach children to always be aware of their surroundings.
