A 68-year-old man is dead after what is believed to be a hit-and-run crash on Chicago’s Northwest Side on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the man was walking in the 800 block of North human in the city’s Humboldt Park neighborhood at approximately 2 p.m. when he was hit by a person riding a dirt bike.
Witnesses told police that the dirt bike rider did not stop and fled the scene, and the man was rushed to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Police say the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating the crash, and no suspect is in custody.
