Jimmy Butler Thanks Bulls Employees With Classy Gesture

Jimmy Butler may no longer be a member of the Chicago Bulls, but the team is still close to his heart, as he proved with a classy gesture toward employees of the organization.

According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Butler, who was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the NBA Draft earlier this summer, took 35 staffers out to a sushi dinner in Chicago’s River North neighborhood over the weekend.

Butler was in town for Dwyane Wade’s youth basketball camp in New Lenox, and he took the workers to dinner as a way of saying thank you for their six years of hard work while he was a member of the Bulls, according to the report.

Butler had said he wanted to remain with the Bulls before the NBA Draft this summer, but he was dealt to Tom Thibodeau’s Timberwolves in exchange for Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine. After the trade, Butler criticized the Bulls’ management team, questioning the loyalty of the team that called him the “face of the franchise.”
