A driver has been charged with driving under the influence after a rollover crash late Wednesday in the Loop that sent two people to area hospitals.
A car crashed into a van and rolled over about 10:30 p.m. at South Michigan Avenue and East Congress Parkway, police said.
Both motorists were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police Major Accident Investigation Unit, which initially responded to the crash.
The person driving the car was charged with DUI and was in the Central District police lockup at 5 a.m. The driver’s name and court information were not immediately available.
