The Chicago Cubs officially announced the hiring of David Ross as the team’s new manager on Thursday morning, and the club wasted no time in reminding fans about the indelible moments of Ross’ tenure with the organization.

Ross, who had served as a special adviser with the Cubs and as an analyst with ESPN after his retirement in 2016, will be introduced to the media on Monday.

On Thursday, the team released a video recounting come of Ross’ best moments in a Cubs uniform:

The video shows some of Ross’ most iconic moments with the Cubs, including his Game 7 home run off of Andrew Miller as the Cubs won the 2016 World Series. The clip of Ross and first baseman Anthony Rizzo chatting about being in a “glass case of emotion” was featured, as was his famous scooter he was given by players during spring training.

Ross was officially named the 55th manager in Cubs history on Thursday, and will be introduced to the media on Monday morning. He will replace Joe Maddon, who was let go by the club after the 2019 season.
