A Chicago Transit Authority train derailed Friday morning at the Forest Park station.
CTA spokeswoman Tammy Chase said a westbound train derailed at 11:02 a.m. at the end of the Blue Line. Chase described the derailment as minor and said there were no injuries reported.
The train was at the platform at the time, and passengers were able to exit after the incident.
"We're looking at the cause of this," Chase said. "That will be part of our investigation."
A bus shuttle was set up between the Forest Park and Harlem stations.
"Blue Line service is experiencing a delay at Forest Park due to a derailment," the CTA posted to its website. "Personnel are working to correct the problem and assistance has been requested. As a result, wait times for trains may be longer than usual. Allow extra travel time."
