Crash kills mother and son, critically injures second child

A 39-year-old teacher and her 9-year-old son were killed in a car crash after being struck broadside by an alleged drunk driver, then slammed into a house in Gary, Ind., Friday night.

While being treated at a Gary hospital, a small amount of cocaine was found in Merilyn Bouler's pocket.  Toxicology reports are pending.

Bouler was an English teacher at Pierce Middle School in Merrillville

Her 11-year-old son was critically injured in the crash.

The other driver was arrested for DUI.
